About
Muammer Çalık is Associate Professor of Chemistry Education at Karadeniz Technical University. He has a wide range of research interests including identification, design and implementation of intervention strategies to challenge students' conceptions and students' use of analogies and models as an aid to their conceptual understanding of science concepts and meta-analysis, nature of science, evaluation of science textbooks and animations to achieve conceptual change. He is the author of more than 30 papers and acts as reviewer for a range of journals, and is on editorial/advisory/review boards for Journal of Chemical Education, Journal of Science Education and Technology, International Education Journal, Journal of Turkish Science Education, International Journal of Environmental and Science Education, Journal of Research in Science Teaching, Computers & Education, Eurasian Journal of Educational Research, Cypriot Journal of Educational Sciences (CJES), Science Education, Chemistry Education: Research and Practice (CERP), and Energy, Education, Science and Technology Part B Social and Educational Studies .
